Square Enix revealed a long time ago now that Crystal Dynamics and Eidos were working on an Avengers game, which Square Enix announced would finally be unveiled at E3. That very reveal came during Square Enix’s E3 conference, which revealed the game to the public with lots of information.

Marvel’s Avengers starts on Avengers Day, a celebration in San Francisco that turns deadly and leads the Avengers to be disbanded. Five years later, the story picks up where the Avengers have to come back together against a major enemy force that shows up.

Similar to Marvel’s Spider-Man, story plays a major role here and it looks like it is going to be an emotional journey with the different characters coping with the aftermath of Avengers Day.

Marvel’s Avengers has a major cast too behind it with five major names voicing the Avengers. This includes Nolan North as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Troy Baker as Bruce Banner/Hulk, Laura Bailey as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, Jeff Schine is Steve Rogers/Captain America, and Travis Willingham is Thor.

The game is very story driven and is designed for up to four player co-op, but can be experienced solo as well. There will be additional post-launch heroes and regions to get as well, but they will not be hidden behind lootboxes or anything and will be completely free.

Marvel’s Avengers will release on May 15, 2020 for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia.
