Are you wondering how to fix error code Cat in Destiny 2 so you can get back to playing? Destiny 2 is like a bustling metropolis that is always on the move, with people cementing the game as part of their daily lives. Unfortunately, errors are no fun when trying to enjoy spending time in your favorite locations to decompress after a busy day. Thankfully there are ways you can try and sort the error codes you receive upon an attempted login. Here is how to fix the Cat error code in Destiny 2.

Fixing Error Code Cat in Destiny 2

Thankfully, the process of fixing this error code is fairly simple and can be fixed by doing by understanding what the error code Cat error actually means, which has been provided by Bungie:

  • A new update to Destiny is available. If you are seeing this error the first time you launch Destiny, please exit the game and apply the update before relaunching.

That means all you have to do is install an update file for the game. You will generally get this error code when you haven’t updated your version of Destiny 2 around the time of the weekly reset.

Related: When is the Weekly Reset Time in Destiny 2?

To do this, you can go through the natural process you usually do for looking for and installing an update on your selected platform. Then, once you have installed the update, boot up Destiny 2 again, and you should be able to access the game and bypass the error code screen you were getting before.

This method for fixing the error code is likely to work because the error code mentions that you need to check if you have ‘Applied all Destiny 2 updates’ at that time. Other error codes can be a bit more complex to fix, but with the Cat error code, you can quickly fix it.

Related: How to Fix Error Code WEASEL in Destiny 2

With some luck, you should find that the error code is now fixed. However, there is another possibility that Bungie may simply be running maintenance for Destiny 2, and you encounter this error code. A great way to check for maintenance is to visit the Bungie Help Twitter page and look for mentions.

Rogue bugs, like the one that erased peoples’ Triumphs, that catch the attention of Bungie often signal downtime where the servers remain off as Bungie tries to fix whatever is broken. If true, you must wait for the servers to come online again. In the case of the cat error code, you should be set with a simple update of Destiny 2.

Is Rasputin Dead in Destiny 2? https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/is-rasputin-dead-in-destiny-2/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/is-rasputin-dead-in-destiny-2/#respond Tue, 14 Feb 2023 19:12:33 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=899270

The history of Rasputin may be confusing to some new Destiny 2 players, but if you completed the Final Dawn finale quest for Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph, you might be wondering what happened to Rasputin. Of course, you can only complete the Final Dawn, know about the events that unfold, and see the cutscene if you have completed the More Than a Weapon quests. Here’s the state of Rasputin currently.

Is Rasputin Dead in Destiny 2?

All season long, we have been clearing out Seraph Stations, trying to keep Warmind control away from Eramis and the House of Salvation.

When the Final Dawn quest begins, Rasputin suggests that he get disconnected to disable all the Warminds. Since the Warminds are under Eramis’s control and she wants to use them to destroy the Traveler, it’s in Rasputin’s best interest to put a stop to that. The only way he could was to log off permanently.

As you learn from the cutscene you get halfway through completing the Final Dawn quest, Ana Bray, Rasputin’s best friend and family, decides to grant Rasputin’s wishes and pull the plug. Rasputin dies, the Warminds get destroyed, and the Traveler is safe for now.

After fighting Rasputin and then seeing him come over to the Light and help fight with the Guardians for humanity, having him die is an emotional conclusion to the Witch Queen year. Not only was Rasputin extremely powerful and could have helped us fight the Witness, but his death is also devastating since he was such a close friend.

Now that Rasputin is dead, the Witness has even more reason to come in and fulfill his wishes in Lightfall. Without Warminds to aid us in our fight, we need to continue to protect the Traveler and travel to Neomuna to see if we can recruit more help.

How to Fix Destiny 2 Update Downloading Slowly https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/how-to-fix-destiny-2-update-downloading-slowly/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/how-to-fix-destiny-2-update-downloading-slowly/#respond Tue, 14 Feb 2023 18:41:08 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=899245

Destiny 2 players will be very familiar with having to update their game on a fairly frequent basis so whenever an update happens they will be wanting to download it as quickly as possible. However, some downloads can take longer than others and this can be a pain point for some people as they are having to wait for even more time. Instead of getting error codes to fix such as the Centipede error, you will simply have to patiently sit and wait until it updates. This article will take you through tips and tricks on how to fix the Destiny 2 update downloading slowly.

Downloading the Destiny 2 Update Faster

In order to fix the update times, one of the best things to do is ensure that you have an ethernet cable active for your internet. This usually reduces download speed times immensely and it is a brilliant way to ensure much quicker updates. Another simple fix is to take other devices in your household off the internet until the update is finished. This will mean that the bandwidth is getting focused on mainly your Destiny 2 update and not getting funneled into something like your smart refrigerators’ internet searches.

Change Your DNS Settings for Even Quicker Destiny 2 Updates

If you are on consoles, something that can greatly help internet speeds is changing your DNS settings. This can be done through the Network section of your settings menu on both Xbox and PlayStation. For Xbox users, when you are there, select Advanced Settings and then finally DNS Settings. As for PlayStation, go to ‘settings’ within the Network part and then press on ‘Set Up Internet Connection’, after which you can choose to set it up manually. As you proceed through this portion you will get the option to change your DNS settings. Google’s DNS server is excellent for increasing speed, the DNS values are as follows.

  • Primary DNS Server: 8.8.8.8
  • Secondary DNS Server: 8.8.4.4

With some luck, you will have the update downloaded in no time and you can get back to completing the Final Dawn quest.

Destiny 2 is available at this very moment for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.

How to Complete the Final Dawn Quest in Destiny 2 https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/how-to-complete-the-final-dawn-quest-in-destiny-2/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/how-to-complete-the-final-dawn-quest-in-destiny-2/#respond Tue, 14 Feb 2023 18:39:05 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=899223

Destiny 2 is wrapping up Season of the Seraph with a final quest called Final Dawn. If you are up-to-date with your More Than a Weapon quests, then you’ll start Destiny 2 right in the H.E.L.M. with Ana Bray talking with Rasputin. You’ll start the Final Dawn quest immediately. Let’s get started.

How to Complete the Final Dawn Quest in Destiny 2

Start the quest by listening to Ana and Rasputin. After their discussion, interact with the Exo Frame to speak with Rasputin. Grab the Final Dawn quest from Rasputin.

To make things easier, go into your quest log and track the Final Dawn quest. The first objective of the Final Dawn quest is to start the activity which is accessed directly right of Rasputin. You can also see it on the map. The activity is called Abhorrent Imperative.

Abhorrent Imperative does not have matchmaking, but you can tackle it with a Fireteam. This mission is hard, so make sure you have your best loadout equipped.

Once you have launched onto the Seraph Station, navigate forward. Once you reach the hangar, you’ll need to defeat Eramis. To do this, watch out for the exploding Sharks and Eramis’s ice darts.

After damaging her enough, Eramis will retreat. Clear out the two captains at the end of the room and summon the Heavy Frames.

With the Heavy Frames summoned, continue forward. Clear out the enemies in front of you, but they will keep spawning in, so push past them and toward the objective marker.

Jump through the teleporter. Next, you’ll face Hive. Continue to push through the waves, focusing on the big opponents and the Shriekers. Clear the room and upload Rasputin.

Once that is done, you’ll need to defeat Ir Garza. To do so, watch out for her Void spike attacks that will appear beneath you. She has three damage phases. To break her shield, you’ll need to kill the specific Knight. then, rinse and repeat.

When you’ve defeated Ir Garza, you’ll have completed the Final Shape and be rewarded with a special cutscene.

After the cutscene, you’ll be taken to the Tower where you’ll need to talk to Commander Zavala. Then, go talk to Ikora Rey. After that, return to the H.E.L.M. and interact with the Holoprojector to speak with Ana Bray. Finally, interact with the Exo Frame to receive Rasputin’s final message.

Acquire the Spirit of the Warmind Exotic Ship and you’ll fully complete Final Shape. You’ll get an Ascendant Shard. Now, you can prepare for Lightfall by getting the best H.E.L.M. weapons.

Destiny 2 is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

Bungie Announces Major Changes to Vanguard Ritual Playlist in Destiny 2 Season 20 https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/bungie-announces-major-changes-to-vanguard-ritual-playlist-in-destiny-2-season-20/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/bungie-announces-major-changes-to-vanguard-ritual-playlist-in-destiny-2-season-20/#respond Tue, 14 Feb 2023 16:19:25 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=899100

The Vanguard ritual playlist in Destiny 2 has been subject to a set of changes during the Witch Queen expansion. The last change that came to the entire playlist was when Bungie added the Battleground strike and the Proving Grounds missions to the aforementioned playlist.

Over the past few seasons, Bungie has removed some strikes from the playlist because they weren’t up to the mark with the difficulty levels in the game. With that said, the developers are bringing some more changes to the Vanguard ritual playlist in Destiny 2 Season 20.

Bungie to Add the Mars Heist Battlegrounds to The Vanguard Ritual Playlist in Destiny 2 Season 20

As mentioned in their recent blog post, Bungie will be refreshing and reworking some really popular strikes in the Vanguard ritual playlist. For starters, strikes like the Arms Dealer and the Lake of Shadows will receive a rework so that they’re at par with the other strikes available in the game.

Moreover, strikes like the Inverted Spire and the Exodus Crash will also be removed from the Nightfall playlist, and their presence in the Vanguard ritual playlist will also be reduced. Although players will be able to launch them directly from the Director in Destiny 2, their availability in the ritual playlist and the Nightfall playlists will be restricted/absent until they’re reworked.

These aren’t the only changes coming to the playlist. In Lightfall, Bungie will be adding the Season 16 and Season 19 Battlegrounds to the ritual playlist. In fact, the Mars Battleground Playlist will be the first one to join the Nightfall playlist as well. Interestingly enough, four out of the six Grandmaster Nightfalls will either be reworked or new. With Strand and the gameplay modifiers being reworked as well, the overall experience will be different from what it was up until now.

It will be interesting to see how the community reacts to these changes. Moreover, the PvP mode is getting two new modes and a few new maps too, so Destiny 2 Lightfall is going to be more interesting than it already sounds! Unfortunately, though, the in-game LFG feature will be delayed up until Season 23.

Destiny 2 Season 20 and 21: Names, Story, Release Dates, Currencies, Leaks, More https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-season-20-and-21-names-story-release-dates-currencies-leaks-more/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-season-20-and-21-names-story-release-dates-currencies-leaks-more/#respond Mon, 13 Feb 2023 18:41:57 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=898520

Bungie has revealed much about buildcrafting and Strand abilities coming in Destiny 2 Lightfall, but we now know the names of Season 20 and Season 21 plus a lot more. Strap in, this year is gonna be wild.

Destiny 2 Season 20 and 21 Names

In the latest Bungie blog post, the names of Destiny 2 Season 20 and Season 21 have been revealed. Season 20 is named Season of Defiance and Season 21 is named Season of the Deep.

Destiny 2 Season 20 and 21 Currency Changes

With so many changes and quality-of-life improvements coming to the game, Season of Defiance won’t have Umbrals or Umbral Energy. Instead, seasonal weapons and armor will be unlocked with Glimmer and a Seasonal Engram.

Also, instead of collecting stacks of seasonal currency like Seraph Keys for Season of the Seraph, singular keys will drop as you play through any kind of activity which will be used to unlock a chest at the end of a seasonal activity. The chance of getting a key will be harder, but the loot will be much better.

In Season of the Deep, there will be no vendor upgrade system. Bungie is experimenting with switching up how players interact with each season so it isn’t so formulaic, and this is just one way in which they want to keep the Guardians on their toes.

Destiny 2 Season 20 and 21 Story

We know that Season of Defiance is the season launching with Lightfall. That said, we expect Season 20’s story will tie in with the campaign of Lightfall in a big way.

Not much is known about the story of Destiny 2 Season of the Deep, but if we had to guess (and hope), it would involve an eldritch horror tone. In the Bungie blog post, they said that they want to continue experimenting with new themes and fantasies, so an eldritch horror season is on the table.

Destiny 2 Season 20 and 21 Release Dates

We know that Destiny 2 Season 20 will start on February 28, 2023, when Lightfall begins. Seasons in Destiny 2 last around ten weeks, so we can expect Season 21 to release in mid-May.

Destiny 2 Season 20 and 21 Leaks

Bungie is sharing a lot of information ahead of Lightfall which is great for us. We know that Linear Fusion Rifles will get dethroned from the meta, we know that we are getting a lot of Exotic weapons, and we know that Supers are getting a big rework.

With so much already known, there isn’t a need for leaks and rumors. Bungie has been open about all the ways in which Lightfall will improve Destiny 2.

Destiny 2 is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

All Weapon Crafting Balances in Destiny 2 Season 20 https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/all-weapon-crafting-balances-in-destiny-2-season-20/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/all-weapon-crafting-balances-in-destiny-2-season-20/#respond Mon, 13 Feb 2023 18:41:56 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=898519

Weapon Crafting will be getting a major rework in Destiny 2 Season 20. Introduced back in the Season of the Risen, weapon crafting made the god roll grind slightly easier than it was before.

Although the feature was appreciated by the community it wasn’t perfect. With the new changes that are set to come in Destiny 2 Season of Defiance, the grind for the perfect roll will definitely ease up a bit.

Bungie to Introduce Major Weapon Crafting Changes in Destiny 2 Season of Defiance

As mentioned in the latest blog post by Bungie, the overall weapon crafting feature feels very random. Starting with Season of Defiance, weapons that cannot be crafted won’t drop with Deepsight Resonance. Not only will this reduce the strain on the vault, but it will also reduce confusion with respect to the weapons that can be crafted and the ones that cannot be crafted.

Moreover, the overall number of craftable weapons in the loot pool will be reduced starting from Lightfall. Although this does increase the strain on the hunt for that specific god roll, Bungie has some plans to address the situation starting in Season 21.

Destiny-2-Crafting-Lightfall

Bungie will continue to implement these weapon crafting balances in Season 21 as well. To give non-craftable weapons more value, you will be able to level up those weapons as well. You will also be able to equip Mementos on them and add enhanced rolls to them. However, you will only be able to add the enhanced variants of the rolls already on the weapon. For example, if you have a Bow with Archer’s Tempo on it, you’ll be able to equip the Enhanced Archer’s Tempo on this Bow after you’ve enhanced the weapon to a certain level.

The final change will be implemented for the Adept Raid weapons at the launch of Season of the Deep. Apart from that, you will be able to enable Deepsight Resonance on craftable weapons, if you don’t have the pattern for them. This feature is also being targeted for a Season of the Deep launch, but there’s a chance it might get delayed as well.

Either way, these changes sound interesting and we’ll need to see how they actually pan out in Destiny 2 Lightfall. With Strand soon approaching, Hunters, Warlocks, and Titans will receive a plethora of new abilities.

Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris Weapon This Week, Maps, and More https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-trials-of-osiris-weapon-this-week-maps-and-more/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-trials-of-osiris-weapon-this-week-maps-and-more/#respond Fri, 10 Feb 2023 20:27:48 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=897467

Trials of Osiris is back in Destiny 2 from now until the next weekly reset. If you’re itching to know what rewards, weapons, and maps are in this week’s Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris, you’ve come to the right place.

Destiny 2 Trials Weapon This Week

The Exalted weapon available during the Trials of Osiris this week is Exalted Truth. The Exalted Truth God Roll is a fan-favorite especially because Hand Cannons are extremely popular still in Destiny 2.

To reiterate, you have from now, February 10, until February 14 to enjoy Trials of Osiris. Whether you are grinding for the Exalted weapon or just enjoy the game mode, soak it in while you can.

Is Trials Freelance This Week in Destiny 2?

A new feature Bungie has been experimenting with Trials of Osiris is making it Freelance which means instead of requiring matchmaking like Trials usually does, you’ll be able to enter Trials solo and receive a team.

For this week’s Trials of Osiris, freelance is enabled. This means that whether you are a solo player or run with a squad of three, you’ll be able to play Trials of Osiris as a full squad for this 3v3 mode.

Destiny 2 Trials Maps This Week

The maps in rotation for this week’s Trials of Osiris are Javelin-4 and Radiant Cliffs. Javelin-4 is a map set on Io that features a big circular middle, sharp corners, and a few long hallways. Radiant Cliffs is an almost symmetrical map that has a lot of tight spaces.

To maximize the amount of loot you get during Trials of Osiris, be sure to talk to Saint-14 in The Tower and acquire a Passage of Mercy. This will help you rank up when you get wins for better Trials loot.

Destiny 2 Trials Loot Table This Week

This week, the loot table for Trials of Osiris includes the Exalted Truth, Burden of Guilt, Forgiveness, Whistler’s Whim, The Inquisitor, Unwavering Duty, and the Trials armor.

That is everything you need to know about Trials of Osiris from February 10 to February 14. We’ll be sure to update this article when future Trials events happen.

Combat Style Mods Get a Major Rework Ahead of Destiny 2 Lightfall https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/combat-style-mods-get-a-major-rework-ahead-of-destiny-2-lightfall/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/combat-style-mods-get-a-major-rework-ahead-of-destiny-2-lightfall/#respond Thu, 09 Feb 2023 11:33:35 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=896524

Combat Style mods will continue to be the foundation of every build in Destiny 2 Lightfall. To make things easier for everyone in the new expansion, Bungie has revealed some changes to the overall Combat Style mods.

Up until now, these mods have always found a place in the second, third, and fourth sockets on every armor piece. However, all that is scheduled to change in the upcoming expansions.

Combat Style Mods Will be More Effective in Destiny 2 Lightfall

Bungie has been talking about giving the entire mod system a major overhaul in Lightfall. They’ve been mentioning this ever since the new expansion was announced. To further solidify their stance on the matter, the developers made all Combat Style Mods available to everyone a little over a month ago.

In their latest blog post, Bungie gave us a small idea of the changes that they were implementing with respect to the mods in Destiny 2 Lightfall. Here are some of the changes:

  • Legendary Armor pieces will now have three mod slots instead of two.
  • Most combat style mods won’t be restricted to any particular elemental affinity.
  • The following ability energy generating mods can be used together:
    • Bomber
    • Outreach
    • Impact Induction
    • Utility Kickstart
    • Melee Kickstart
    • Grenade Kickstart
    • Invigoration
    • Insulation
    • Innervation
    • Hands On
    • Ashes to Assets
    • Dynamo
  • Armor mod costs have been decreased and these changes will reflect the very moment the new expansion goes live.
  • You won’t have to equip artifact mods on your armor pieces anymore, which will give you more freedom when it comes to build crafting.

While these changes do feel overwhelming at this point in time, this change was necessary. Moreover, Bungie has promised to work on the energy economy throughout the coming seasons, so build crafting will definitely turn out to be more interesting than it already is. These mods aren’t the only ones getting an upgrade, Supers and Fragments for the Light subclasses are getting one too!

With Strand on the cards, Hunters, Warlocks, and Titans will be receiving a brand-new ability kit. Other than that, the enemy will now be exposed to a new range of buffs and debuffs with Strand in Destiny 2 Lightfall.

Destiny 2 is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

Bungie Announces Major Reworks to Supers in Destiny 2 Lightfall https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/bungie-announces-major-reworks-to-supers-in-destiny-2-lightfall/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/bungie-announces-major-reworks-to-supers-in-destiny-2-lightfall/#respond Thu, 09 Feb 2023 08:54:00 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=896522

Almost every aspect of Destiny 2 including Guardian Supers is getting a major overhaul in Lightfall. For the uninitiated, Supers are special Ultimate abilities that can either deal severe damage or can apply some debuffs to the enemy, making them more susceptible to attacks.

Supers form a very critical component of any build in Destiny 2. Most importantly, without Supers, it can be difficult to defeat a boss, especially in Dungeons and Raids. With that said, here are all the changes that Bungie plans on implementing in Lightfall.

Supers to Get An Overhaul in Destiny 2 Lightfall

Bungie has been introducing a slew of changes one after another. As mentioned in their recent blog post, almost every Super in the game will receive some form of rework. That said, we’ll break down these changes based on the class that can wield them:

Titan

  • Hammer of Sol base cooldown reduced to 9:16.
  • Ward of Dawn
    • Health of the ward reduced from 13500 to 8000. However, damage dealt by combatants to the ward has also been reduced, so the damage absorption capacity remains the same. All weapons now deal 1.5x their base damage to the ward.
    • Armor of Light potency has been reduced in PvP. Maximum health now stands at 300.
    • Does not negate precision damage anymore.
    • Armor of Light also gains a 50% Damage Resistance.
  • Thundercrash
    • Flight time reduced to 4.5 seconds.
    • Reduced size of the damaging volume around the player while in flight by 20%, and pushed it further forward in front of the player to make fly-by disintegrations more intentional.
    • Descent begins a bit earlier and landing damage volume reduced by 20% against players. Damage output remains the same in PvE activities.
  • Fists of Havoc deal 20% more damage in PvE.

Warlock

  • Daybreak
    • Super energy per swing now costs 6.5% of the total bar.
    • PvE damage increased by 25%.

Hunter

  • Spectral Blades base cooldown reduced to 9:16.

The developers believe that these changes will make these Supers more viable in Destiny 2 Lightfall. However, given that Strand is going live as well, Hunters, Warlocks, and Titans will probably be using the new subclass for the most part.

Destiny 2 Light Subclasses to Receive New Fragments in Lightfall https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-light-subclasses-to-receive-new-fragments-in-lightfall/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-light-subclasses-to-receive-new-fragments-in-lightfall/#respond Wed, 08 Feb 2023 20:16:36 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=896331

Bungie started working on the Light subclasses in the Witch Queen expansion and will continue to do so in Destiny 2 Lightfall. The developers talked about some new fragments that are set to go live in the new expansion.

Now, all three Light subclasses already have an extensive list of fragments. However, the addition of these fragments will diversify build crafting even more, allowing you to experiment with these subclasses even further.

Bungie to Bring New Fragments to All Light Subclasses in Destiny 2 Lightfall

As mentioned in the blog post, some combat-style mods won’t be making their way into Destiny 2 Lightfall. These new fragments are being designed to replace those mods. Not only that, some of the older fragments will be tweaked to accommodate the new subclass-specific elemental verbs that are being introduced in the upcoming expansion.

That said, here is a list of all the new and updated fragments that you will get to use in the upcoming expansion:

Arc Fragments

  • Spark of Instinct
    • Whenever you take additional damage from enemies while critically wounded, you emit a damaging blast of Arc energy that jolts targets.
  • Spark of Haste
    • Increased resilience, recovery, and mobility while sprinting.

Solar Fragments

  • Ember of Mercy
    • Whenever you revive an ally, you and other nearby allies gain Restoration. Picking up a Firesprite will also grant Restoration. When Restoration is active, you will instantly heal, and incoming enemy damage won’t disrupt this process.
  • Ember of Resolve
    • Solar grenade final blows Cure you.
  • Ember of Tempering
    • Apart from its original effects, this fragment creates a Firesprite on Solar weapon kills while active, in addition to its original effects.
  • Ember of Combustion
    • Now creates a Firesprite on Solar Super defeats, in addition to its original effects.
  • Ember of Searing
    • Defeating Scorched targets creates Firesprite, along with triggering its original effects. .

Void Fragments

  • Echo of Cessation (New!)
    • Applying a Finisher on a target sends out a blast of Void energy which makes other targets in the vicinity Volatile. Defeating Volatile targets creates a Void Breach.
  • Echo of Vigilance
    • Defeating a target when your shields are depleted grants you a temporary Void Overshield.
  • Echo of Domineering
    • Apart from its original effects, defeating a Suppressed target creates a Void Breach.
  • Echo of Harvest
    • Now creates a Void Breach when defeating Weakened targets with precision damage, in addition to its original effects.
  • Echo of Starvation
    • Grants the Devour buff whenever a Void Breach is picked up.

This concludes the list of all the new and updated fragments that are set to arrive in Destiny 2 Lightfall. Apart from the Light subclasses, here’s a quick list of abilities that Hunters, Warlocks, and Titans will come to possess as soon as they start wielding Strand.

Best Dawn Chorus Build in Destiny 2 https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/best-dawn-chorus-build-in-destiny-2/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/best-dawn-chorus-build-in-destiny-2/#respond Wed, 08 Feb 2023 08:53:52 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=896086

With the upcoming changes to armor builds coming with Lightfall, many old exotics in Destiny 2 are starting to look more viable. The Dawn Chorus is an exotic helmet for Warlock that never really saw a lot of love due to the fact that it works the most with Dawnblade and most Warlocks will run Well of Radiance over Dawnblade. With its resurgence, many players are looking into ways they could fit the Dawn Chorus into their build. let’s go over the best Dawn Chorus build you can run in Destiny 2.

Best Build to Run With Dawn Chorus in Destiny 2

The big draw of the Dawn Chorus is the improved scorch effects. While scorch is a great tool for quickly clearing out a group of low-level enemies, its strength in high-level content has made it seem a bit weak. Scorch doesn’t really do much to higher-level enemies, even when causing a detonation since it doesn’t clear them out as it does to lower-level ads.

While many players might be turned off because Dawn Chorus’s short description says that it buffs Daybreak, it also mentions that it buffs scorch. This is where Dawn Chorus really shines because it not only buffs the damage of scorch detonation, but also the passive burn damage it applies.

This means our build will want to be focused on dealing out as much scorch as possible. as such we will want to run the following aspects:

  • Touch of Flame – Fusion, Solar, Firebolt, and Healing grenades have increased effects
  • Heat Rises – Fire weapons, melee, and throw grenades while gliding through the air. You can consume your grenade to increase your glide power and increase your weapon’s airborne effectiveness. Final blows while airborne increase the duration of Heat Rises and grant melee energy.

The main thing you want here is the perks of Heat Rises. Being able to generate melee energy by getting kills in the air will help you keep the chain going. This also works perfectly with weapons like the Calus Mini-Tool. For your Fragments, you will want to run the following:

  • Ember of Ashes – You apply more scorch stacks to targets
  • Ember of Searing – Defeating a scorched target grants melee energy, +10 Recovery
  • Ember of Torches – Powered melee attacks against enemies make both you and nearby allies radiant
  • Ember of Empyrean – Solar final blows extend the duration of restoration or radiant effects, -10 Resilience

You can choose to trade out Ember of Empyrean for Ember of Benevolence if you plan on being around others often. Ember of Benevolence increases your ability regen rate when you apply radiant or restoration effects to others.

For your grenade, you will want to run either the Healing Grenade or the Fusion Grenade. The healing grenade is nice since it works well with Heat Rises and can be used to heal yourself or others in a pinch. It also allows for instant activation of Ember of Benevolence. However, the fusion grenade is great for applying instant scorch to a group of targets since it will explode twice with Touch of Flame.

Finally, you will want to run Incinerator Snap for your melee. This melee is great for applying a bit of scorch to a group of enemies with a single snap. While Celestial Fire does have a longer range, you have to remember that the goal of this build is to apply scorch to as many enemies as possible.

With that, you should be good to go. Make sure to practice a bit on lower-level enemies to make sure you can find the rhythm of the build before throwing yourself into a Grandmaster Strike. The best part of this build is that it will only get better with all the armor changes coming with Lightfall. So make sure to keep it around to slot into one of your loadouts.

All Hunter Strand Abilities in Destiny 2 Explained: Aspects, Supers, and More https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/all-hunter-strand-abilities-in-destiny-2-explained-aspects-supers-and-more/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/all-hunter-strand-abilities-in-destiny-2-explained-aspects-supers-and-more/#respond Tue, 07 Feb 2023 17:23:14 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=895677

The Strand subclass in Destiny 2 is designed to make Guardians more agile, and the Hunter will probably benefit the most from it. Armed with abilities to manipulate the threads of reality, with the Hunters on the prowl, the enemy won’t even know what hit them.

The latest trailer revealed the abilities that all the subclasses will be able to wield. Interestingly enough, the entire Strand arsenal that a Hunter has at his disposal focuses heavily on aerial and ranged combat.

Exploring the Hunter Strand Abilities in Destiny 2

As mentioned in the blog post by Bungie, Strand will allow the Hunter to move faster and strike harder once it goes live in Destiny 2 Lightfall. While there’s no information about the class ability, you will be able to play with a new melee ability and new grenades. Here’s everything you need to know about the Threadrunner Hunter:

  • Melee: Hunters will have a new ability known as ‘Threaded Spike’. When triggered, Hunters will throw a Rope Dart, bouncing it off enemies, while damaging and severing them before returning to the wielder. For every enemy hit, you will receive a chunk of melee energy. If you manage to catch the dart on time by pressing the powered melee button, you will receive additional melee energy.
  • Grenade: Strand will introduce two new grenades. The “Threadling Grenade” splits into three separate projectiles and then weaves into Threadlings the moment it strikes a target. The “Shackle Grenade” works like a bola and upon detonation, sends out smaller bolas. The Grapple mechanic falls under the grenade ability as well, so there’s a high chance you might have to choose between being able to grapple and use a grenade.
  • Super: The new Hunter super is being called the Silkstrike. When activated, Hunters will be able to use their grapple and move around the world freely. While in the air, Hunters will also be able to use their rope dart to target and damage enemies. Now, this rope dart attack can be used both in the air and on the ground and will feature both light and heavy attacks. With light attacks, Hunters will be able to chain their light attacks between targets. Hitting an enemy with the tip of the dart will deal additional damage while defeating them with it will cause them to explode. When the heavy attack is triggered, Hunters will spin the entire rope dart in a whole 360-degree circle, damaging every enemy in the radius.
Hunter-Melee

Aspects

Just like the Warlocks and the Titans, Hunters will receive two new Aspects as well. These are as follows:

  • Ensnaring Slam: While in the air, press the air-move input to slam downward, suspending all nearby enemies.
  • Widow’s Silk: This Aspect grants an additional grenade charge. The Hunter’s grapple ability creates a persistent grapple Tangle when it latches, which fully refunds grenade energy when grappled to. Hunters can use this ability to set up chains of grapple points that their entire team can use, greatly enhancing their ability to quickly move around in combat and/or traverse the environment.

Fragments

For now, Bungie has revealed only four fragments. However, there are bound to be more fragments, some of which will go live once the Destiny 2 Lightfall Raid race concludes. The fragments that have just been revealed are as follows:

  • Thread of Ascent: Activating your grenade ability reloads your equipped weapon and grants increased weapon handling and airborne effectiveness for a short time.
  • Thread of Fury: Damaging targets with a Tangle grants melee energy.
  • Thread of Finality: Finishers generate Threadlings.
  • Thread of Warding: Picking up an orb of power grants Woven Mail.

While Strand will make Hunters agile, Titans and Warlocks will turn into deadly damage-dealing machines. Apart from that, some new Strand-related buffs and debuffs will also be introduced in Destiny 2 Lightfall.

Destiny 2 is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

The Titan class in Destiny 2 will receive a massive upgrade once Strand goes live in Destiny 2. This new subclass will turn Titans into a force to be reckoned with.

The latest trailer for the subclass showcased some of the abilities that Titans will have at their disposal. This subclass is designed to increase the overall damage output of this class, turning them into an untamed force of nature.

Exploring the Titan Strand Abilities in Destiny 2

Just like every other subclass, Strand will grant the Titan a unique set of abilities. While their class ability remains the same, the grenade and the melee abilities have been designed to suit the overall feel of this brand-new subclass. As mentioned in the new blog post, here’s everything that you need to know about the Berserker Titan:

  • Melee: This ability is being called the ‘Frenzied Blade’. The charged melee attack will cause you to dash forward and strike your enemy severing them. Most importantly, this has three melee charges, thereby allowing you to chain three strikes for maximum damage output.
  • Grenade: Apart from the new Grapple mechanic, you will be able to use two new grenades. The “Threadling Grenade” splits into three separate projectiles and then weaves into Threadlings the moment it strikes a target. The “Shackle Grenade” works like a bola and upon detonation, sends out smaller bolas.
  • Super: The new Titan super is being called the Bladefury. When activated, Strand fibers will cover the fists of the Titan, forming deadly blades. This super has a light attack which is a supercharged version of the Frenzied Blade melee attack. Each successful hit with the light attack will increase the speed of the next attack, maxing out at three hits. Moreover, they will also charge up the heavy attack. When the heavy attack is triggered, Titans will shoot projectiles that seek out targets and then suspend and damage them on impact.
Titan-Melee

Aspects

Strand will introduce two new Aspects for all Titans to use. These Aspects are as follows:

  • Into the Fray: Whenever a Titan destroys a tangle, they and their allies will receive Woven Mail. When covered with Woven Mail, not only will the Titans take reduced damage, but their melee regeneration rate will increase as well.
  • Drengr’s Lash: When a Titan deploys their Class Ability, they’ll send forth a ripple in reality, suspending all targets caught within the radius.

Fragments

Just like the Aspects, you will be able to use new fragments to fine-tune your Berserker Titan build. Although there will be more fragments once Destiny 2 Lightfall goes live, these are the ones that are revealed for now:

  • Thread of Ascent: Activating your grenade ability reloads your equipped weapon and grants increased weapon handling and airborne effectiveness for a short time.
  • Thread of Fury: Damaging targets with a Tangle grants melee energy.
  • Thread of Finality: Finishers generate Threadlings.
  • Thread of Warding: Picking up an orb of power grants Woven Mail.

Apart from the Titan, Warlocks, and Hunters will also have a unique set of Strand abilities in Destiny 2 Lightfall. This subclass will bring forth a brand new set of buffs and debuffs with it as well.

Destiny 2 is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

All Warlock Strand Abilities in Destiny 2 Explained: Aspects, Supers, and More https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/all-warlock-strand-abilities-in-destiny-2-explained-aspects-supers-and-more/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/all-warlock-strand-abilities-in-destiny-2-explained-aspects-supers-and-more/#respond Tue, 07 Feb 2023 16:05:24 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=895620

The Warlock Strand build looks absolutely devastating in Destiny 2. Especially when paired with the new Lightfall armor exotic, Strand Warlocks will be an absolute beast in PvE and PvP. Here is everything you need to know about the Strand Warlock in Destiny 2.

All Warlock Strand Abilities, Explained

Strand Warlocks are minion masters that can create an army of Threadlings to do their bidding. A Threadling is a sentient form of Strand that will explode on enemies. As a Warlock, the Threadlings will return to you and perch if they can’t find a target.

The Strand Warlock also has the Arcane Needle melee attack. This is a ranged melee attack that tracks enemies and unravels them. It can chain together three attacks in a row.

Destiny-2-Strand-Warlock

The Strand Warlock will also have the Grapple, the Threadling Grenade, and the Shackle Grenade. If you have the Mindspun Invocation Apect equipped, then the Grapple is a mobility tool but can also be used as a melee weapon that creates Threadlings, the Threadling Grenade can be consumed to receive maximum Threadlings, and the Shackle Grenade can be consumed to cause suspend to every kill.

All Warlock Strand Fragments, Explained

As you may or may not know, Fragments are bonus perks that every Guardian has access to. Every Guardian class shares every Fragment, which means that these four revealed Strand Fragments will also be available for Strand Hunters and Strand Titans.

Here are the four revealed Strand Fragments in Destiny 2:

  • Thread of Ascent: Activating your grenade ability reloads your equipped weapon and grants increased weapon handling and airborne effectiveness for a short time.
  • Thread of Fury: Damaging targets with a Tangle grants melee energy.
  • Thread of Finality: Finishers generate Threadlings.
  • Thread of Warding: Picking up an orb of power grants Woven Mail

All Warlock Strand Aspects, Explained

What is specific to the Strand Warlock are the Aspects. So far, Strand Warlocks only have two Strand Aspects to choose from. Here are the two Strand Warlock Aspects:

Destiny-2-Strand-Threadlings
  • Weaver’s Call: On Rift cast, the Warlock weaves three Threadling eggs, which hatch into Threadlings when they hit a surface. Any perched Threadlings are converted to additional eggs.
  • Mindspun Invocation: This Aspect improves several of the Warlock’s abilities, including the Grapple, Threadling Grenade, and Shackle.

All Warlock Strand Supers, Explained

The Strand Warlock has one Super ability (don’t worry, so does every other Strand class) and it is called Needlestorm. When the Needlestorm is cast, hardened Strand spikes will launch into enemies and explode. Once they explode, an army of Threadlings will be created.

Overall, the Strand Warlock is in love with needles and minions. We cannot wait to get our hands on Strand to create our own powerful Warlock builds. When Lightfall finally arrives, we will keep you updated with the best Strand build guides for your Warlock as well as Hunters and Titans.

All Strand Verbs in Destiny 2, Explained https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/all-strand-verbs-in-destiny-2-explained/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/all-strand-verbs-in-destiny-2-explained/#respond Tue, 07 Feb 2023 15:34:22 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=895597

Lots of new information about the new Destiny 2 Lightfall subclass that we are getting which is called Strand dropped today. If you want to be prepared as possible when it comes to mastering Strand to use it to your advantage in PvP and PvE, you’ll want to know what all of the Strand verbs are in Destiny 2.

What is Strand in Destiny 2?

We already know that the Strand grappling hook will replace the grenade ability, but what other verbs, or debuffs, does Strand bring to the table? According to the new Destiny 2 Strand blog post, there is a lot to know about Strand.

First off, when you create an object with Strand, it is called weaving. When you defeat an enemy affected by Strand, you will unravel them which will create a Tangle. Tangles are swirling bundles of Strand fibers that can be used to explode an area of enemies or picked up and thrown.

All Strand Debuffs in Destiny 2, Explained

Strand comes with three new verbs that act as debuffs on enemies. Here is what they are:

  • Suspend – A suspended PvE enemy is lifted off the ground for a brief duration and is essentially disabled. In PvP, suspended players are lifted off the ground but can still move (albeit slowly) and fire their weapon to fight back.
  • Unravel – Attacking an unraveled enemy will cause threads to burst out of the target and attack other nearby targets. Once hit, that target will also become unraveled.
  • Sever – A severed enemy is less capable of affecting the material world, reducing their damage output as a result.

All Strand Buffs in Destiny 2, Explained

So far, we only know of one Strand buff. This Strand buff was teased with the Hunter Lightfall exotic armor. Here is what it is:

  • Woven Mail – The Guardian is sheathed in protective Strand mesh that reduces incoming damage. In PvP, Woven Mail will only reduce body damage; head and melee damage will continue as normal.

As Lightfall gets closer and closer, you’ll want to focus on all the ways you can prepare for it. You might want to get all of the Ascendant Shards possible in the Season Pass before Lightfall resets it and introduces Season 20. Whatever you do to prepare, hopefully, you are excited for Stand.

How to Complete Operation Archimedes In Destiny 2 https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/how-to-complete-operation-archimedes-in-destiny-2/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/how-to-complete-operation-archimedes-in-destiny-2/#respond Tue, 07 Feb 2023 08:57:36 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=895577

Since the Season of Seraph is quickly coming to an end, many players are beginning the seasonal questline since it is fully available now. However, the drawback with waiting this long is that most Destiny 2 players are finished with most of the quest steps thus leaving you on your own to figure things out. This is never more apparent than when you get tasked with completing Operation Archimedes as one of the first steps in the quest line. Let’s go over how you complete Operation Archimedes in Destiny 2.

Operation Archimedes Walkthrough for Destiny 2

For the first part of the More Than A Weapon quest, you will need to farm up some Seraph Key codes and use them. This is to help you get used to the seasonal activity and understand the loop of it for the season. After you complete this, you will be tasked with completing Operation Archimedes which can be accessed as an activity node from the HELM.

Get Inside the Substation

Once you have loaded into Operation Archimedes, you will notice you are in a large open valley with plenty of the Warmind towers looking over you. There is a good bit of cover you can use to cross this open field and get closer to the facility so make sure to take advantage of this. You can only be seen for 15 seconds before one of the towers zaps your from existence and have you respawning at the last rock you were near.

You will want to cross the field and deal with the Hive that are in your way and go to the left of the main facility that you can see. Up a small ridge, you should be able to see a Warmind bunker entrance that will be marked as your mission objective.

Clear Through The Substation

Once inside, you will be greeted by the lovely Hive that are trying to take control of the Serepah facility. You will want to make your way through the corridors while dispatching any Hive that stands in your way. At various points, you will be blocked by a closed door. Clear the Hive in the room around you and one of them should drop an Arc charge that you can deposit in a nearby terminal to open the door.

Rinse and repeat all of this until you reach the central control room and come to a rally flag point. Put on your best gear and get ready for a bit of a fight coming up before rallying to the flag.

Defeat Sumok The Ravager Of Torobatl

This boss fight pits you up against a beefed-up Orge enemy with a good bit of Hive swarming you. Focus on clearing out the ads first and keeping yourself out of the boss’s sightline to avoid getting lasered. Once the room is mostly cleared you can turn your attention to Sumok and start whittling him down.

Once Sumok reaches half health, he will gain a shield that can not be damaged by normal means and fill the room with ads again. Clear out all of the ads except for the Waritborn Knights as they are needed to break the shield.

Once you have a bit of breathing room, you will want to kill one of the Knights. They will drop a pool where they die that you will want to stand in and shoot Sumok. This will damage his shield. It can be broken with the damage you can do with one pool but don’t feel bad if you need to kill multiple knights to fully break his shield.

Once the shield is gone, you are free to unload on Sumok until he is down. This will spell the end of the mission as soon as all of the ads in the room are dead. All that is left is for you to interact with a panel in the room and claim your reward.

You could get lucky with your reward and get one of the seasonal weapons with a deepsight to speed up pattern farming before they are gone. Regardless of the reward, you will be free to continue through the seasonal quest. There will be a few more missions similar to this one that you will need to complete. Luckily they all follow a similar format to Operation Archimedes.

How to Get the Tarnation Pattern and God Roll Perks For Tarnation in Destiny 2 https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/how-to-get-the-tarnation-pattern-and-god-roll-perks-for-tarnation-in-destiny-2/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/how-to-get-the-tarnation-pattern-and-god-roll-perks-for-tarnation-in-destiny-2/#respond Tue, 07 Feb 2023 08:28:44 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=895522

Grenade Launchers have always been in an awkward spot in Destiny 2. While special ammo grenade launchers are quite popular, heavy slot grenade launchers tend to be unused by most of the community. However, with some of the recent changes that have been revealed for Lightfall, grenade launchers appear to be coming back.

With the return of many fan-favorite grenade launchers to the meta, like Anarchy. Many players are trying to find a god-rolled grenade launcher to bring with them into Ligthfall. But why farm for a god roll when you can make your own? That’s where Tarnation comes in. This grenade launch was added with Witch Queen and didn’t see much use then, but now many players are striving to get it. Let’s go over how you can get the pattern for Tarnation and what perks you should choose on it for Destiny 2.

How to Get The Pattern For Tarnation in Destiny 2

As with most other craftable weapons in Destiny 2, to get a pattern you will need to find Deepsight versions of the weapon. This means finding a version of Tarnation with a red border. For seasonal weapons, you just need to visit the HELM and buy them from a vendor. However, Tarnation came from the Witch Queen campaign so there is no seasonal vendor for it.

This means that you will need to farm Witch Queen activities to get red border Tarnations. Any activity in Savathun’s Throne World will have a chance to drop a red border version of Tarnation, so go complete as many public events and other activities as you want. Make sure to check what the Daily Wellspring activity weapon is since Tarnation can show up in that rotation and it would make farming it much easier.

Unlike most other pattern weapons, you only need to get your hands on two red border Tarnations in order to fully unlock the pattern. Other weapons will require you to get five deepsight copies of a weapon to unlock the pattern which makes the grind take much longer to complete a pattern.

God Roll Tarnation in Destiny 2

Once you have managed to get your hand on the Tarnation pattern in Destiny 2, you will be able to craft yourself the perfect version of the weapon that you want. Not only that, but you will also be able to slot in enhanced perks in place of regular perks. These will give you the same benefits as the regular perks but with higher stat bonuses to top it off.

For the perks on Tarnation, you will want to pick up Chain Reaction and then combine it with either Field Prep or Clown Cartridge. Chain Reaction will allow this weapon to easily deal with packs of enemies since it causes anyone that dies to this weapon to explode with elemental damage.

Most players will want to stick with Clown Cartridge for the other perk as it overloads the magazine by a random amount so you will always have more shots than you need in a clip. You can choose to take Field Prep if you feel like you are going to be crouching a lot. The perk will give you bonus reload speed and weapon swapping when crouched.

With your perks picked, you will want to pick up Proximity Grenades and Quick Launch for the magazine and barrel. Proximity Grenades will allow the grenade to detect enemies from further away but it will cut down on the blast radius. Quick Launch gives you a big increase in handling speed and projectile speed.

Once you have it all crafted and with enhanced perks, you will probably want to vault it for now until Lightfall since Linear Fusion Rifles are still king until then. However, you can check this off the list of patterns you want to collect before the expansion drops.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

How to Use the Enhanced Resonance Amp in Destiny 2 https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/how-to-use-the-enhanced-resonance-amp-in-destiny-2/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/how-to-use-the-enhanced-resonance-amp-in-destiny-2/#respond Mon, 06 Feb 2023 19:21:07 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=895358

Destiny 2 seasons usually have an item or two that are unnecessarily complicated and that item in Season of the Seraph is the Enhanced Resonance Amp. If you want to get the most out of Destiny 2 Season 19 before Lightfall, you’ll need to know what the Enhanced Resonance Amp is and how to use it. Here’s exactly that in Destiny 2.

What is the Enhanced Resonance Amp in Destiny 2?

If you thought the treasure hunting was over when Season of Plunder finished, you’d be wrong. The Enhanced Resonance Amp in Destiny 2 is an item you get after completing the More Than a Weapon Week 1 quest.

How to Use the Enhanced Resonance Amp in Destiny 2

To use the Enhanced Resonance Amp in Destiny 2, all you need to do is locate it in your inventory, hover over it, and consume four Resonate Stems, which are gained by completing Heist Battlegrounds, to receive an encoded coordinate.

After doing that, you’ll see a message in the description of the Enhanced Resonance Amp that looks something like this: “[CONNECTION ESTABLISHED] CB.SRVY/RUN” followed by a number and four directional instructions. You’ll then need to find the Resonance Amp’s specific location which will give you Glimmer and an IKELOS weapon. Once found, you can consume four more Resonance Stems to get another location.

Lucky for you, we have a guide on where to find all the Resonance Amp locations in Destiny 2. Be sure to use that to your advantage because the Enhanced Resonance Amp coordinates are confusing to decipher and hard to locate.

That is how you use the Enhanced Resonance Amp in Destiny 2. Using this technique is the best way to farm all of the IKELOS weapon patterns before they are gone when Lightfall arrives. Happy hunting!

How to Complete the Icy Singularity Challenge in Destiny 2 https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/how-to-complete-the-icy-singularity-challenge-in-destiny-2/ Fri, 03 Feb 2023 19:43:15 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=894844

Seasonal challenges in Destiny 2 are a great way to earn Bright Dust. Most challenges have you using a specific weapon type or playing specific activities to earn progress and collect your free dust. However, the Icy Singularity challenge seems to be giving Destiny 2 players some trouble. Let’s go over the Icy Singularity challenge and how to complete it.

What is the Icy Singularity Challenge in Destiny 2?

To many players, this challenge seems like any other challenge. You just need to get Void or Stasis kills with a bonus to killing invaders with the same elements. This makes it feel like it is free Bright Dust since you could knock this challenge out while also doing your Iron Banner challenges.

However, many players have noticed that after playing a few activities and using stasis or void weapons and abilities, they have gained no progression. Thus leaving everyone stumped on how to complete this challenge.

How to Gain Progression on the Icy Singularity Challenge in Destiny 2

The reason many players are not gaining any progression despite following the rules of the challenge is that this challenge has a hidden limitation that should have been listed. The key is in the fact that it mentions bonus progress for killing invaders.

In order to gain any progress on this challenge you need to get Stasis or Void kills in Gambit. While it is not uncommon for seasonal challenges to be activity-specific, they normally have it listed a bit more clearly so players don’t end up confused like they are now.

Sadly this does mean that you can’t double up and complete your Iron Banner challenges at the same time as this one, but now you can at least work on getting your free Bright Dust by playing a bit of Gambit. Hopefully, Bungie will have some sort of Hotfix out soon to correct this issue and allow the challenge to be worked on outside of Gambit or fix the description of the challenge.

Despite not being able to play anything outside of Gambit to complete this challenge, you do still have some options on weapons you can use. So you can still work on finishing off any Void or Stasis pattern weapons from the HELM while collecting motes in Gambit.

Best Destiny 2 Fashion in Season 19 https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/best-destiny-2-fashion-in-season-19/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/best-destiny-2-fashion-in-season-19/#respond Fri, 03 Feb 2023 17:23:02 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=894803

Every Guardian knows that fashion is one of the key pillars that makes Destiny 2 fun. The most fashionable Guardians in Destiny 2 expertly mix and match pieces of gear to create something new. From cowboy hats to new Ornaments, Destiny 2 Season 19 had a lot of fashion potential.

Where to Find the Best Fashion in Destiny 2?

The best place to look for the best fashion in Destiny 2, besides the Tower, is on Reddit and Twitter. The r/DestinyFashion and #Destiny2Fashion are the best places to find fashion inspiration for your own Guardian.

There are also Bungie lead fashion shows in the Destiny 2 community now and then, so be sure to follow Bungie on Twitter to stay in the loop.

Best Fashion in Destiny 2 Season 19

Now for the main event. There are a lot of Guardians trying their best to look their best in Destiny 2 Season 19 and it really shows. If you’re looking for the best fashion in Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph, you’ve come to the right place.

First up, we have a solid Warlock U.S. Civil War Union soldier look. They have used the cowboy hat as well as truly spot on shaders to achieve this look.

Next up, we have a Hive inspired Titan. This look uses War Numen’s Chest to good use as well as an all-black look thanks to three different shaders.

For all the Star Wars fans, this next outfit is a Hunter version of Darth Revan. Of course, the hood and the helmet are perfect, but the colors and the legs and chest pieces really complete the look. I wonder what weapons he wields to get the lightsaber look.

Of course, a big look this season is the space cowboy thanks to the Spire of the Watcher dungeon. Everybody’s got their own version of the space cowboy and they all always look really cool.

Lastly, we’ve got a Hunter who is already preparing for Strand in Lightfall. The armor itself looks Hive and Taken inspired, especially thanks to the shaders, and the Strand emote just completes the look.

There is so much good fashion in Destiny 2 Season 19. Guardians are dressed up as Radahn from Elden Ring, Master Chief from Halo, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and mixes of their own creation. With Lightfall coming up, the fashion in Destiny 2 Season 20 is about to pop off.

Destiny 2 has a diverse array of weapons always on offer so when players are looking for specific weapons such as the Anarchy it is no surprise that they may need to have a quick search on finding out how to actually acquire the weapon. Instead of people spending time finding out who the Seraphs are, some simply want to add even more excellent weapons to their collection. This article will take you through everything you need to know about how to get Anarchy in Destiny 2.

Getting Anarchy in Destiny 2

You will be able to acquire Anarchy from The Monuments to Lost Light kiosk which is found in The Tower accessible from orbit. When you land at the Tower, you can make your way to where the vaults are located close to where Lord Shaxx stands in the game. The middle terminal at the vault section will have the Monuments to Lost Light kiosk. You can purchase the exotic Grenade Launcher again for an exotic cipher, 240 Spoils of Conquest, two Ascendant Shards, and 150,000 Glimmer.

Of course, this is quite a lot of Glimmer but it will be absolutely worth it in terms of this weapon’s overall PVE performance. It should be noted that you will also need the Forsaken expansion for Destiny 2 to get this weapon but everyone will have that unlocked at the moment as there is currently a free trial for the campaign until 22 February, 2023.

Where Do I Acquire the Resources Needed for Purchasing Anarchy in Destiny 2?

Glimmer will be acquired very quickly throughout the course of the game however as for the Spoils of Conquest, you can get these from opening any of the chests in Raids. For the Exotic Cipher you can get it by completing quests from Xur or by the seasonal rewards where it is located on a Tier. However, for Ascendant shards, one of the quickest ways will be to complete Grand Master Nightfalls and hope to get them as a reward.

There haven’t been any exotic changes with the Anarchy but it is still absolutely worth having in your inventory for PVE.

Destiny 2 is available at this very moment for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.

What to Do With A Small Gift in Destiny 2 https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/what-to-do-with-a-small-gift-in-destiny-2/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/what-to-do-with-a-small-gift-in-destiny-2/#respond Thu, 02 Feb 2023 00:02:59 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=894273

Destiny 2 has plenty of small secret missions for players to discover and solve. Just the season we had the Good Boy protocol secret that players were quite quick to solve. This secret is a bit of an older one since it was added to the game with Forsaken. Since that whole expansion has been removed, newer players are a bit confused about some of the remnants that were left behind. The Small Gift quest item was a part of this semi-secret quest for Forsaken and the Dreaming City. Let’s go over what A Small Gift is about in Destiny 2.

What is A Small Gift Used For in Destiny 2?

The Small Gift is a small quest item that you can get from activities in the Dreaming City. It shows up in your inventory as a quest with the description “Smells faintly of mint”. This is what leaves players quite confused about it. There is no description to tell you where it goes and you can’t track the quest to get a waypoint like the vague Iron Banner daily challenge quest step.

In order to complete this quest, you will need to hunt down one of nine cat statues in the Dreaming City and hand over the Small Gift to the statues. Each cat statue can only be used to hand over a single Small Gift, so if you have multiple gifts you will have to track down multiple cat statues.

Destiny-2-Cat-Location

Each time you hand over a Small Gift to a cat statue, you will receive a piece of dreaming city gear. So this is a great method to finish off an armor set for a character. There is also a triumph for handing over a gift to each of the nine cats that will earn you an emblem.

How Do You Get A Small Gift in Destiny 2?

If you are looking to get Small Gifts or want to avoid them clogging up your quest log, you need to know where you get them from. Since the Small Gifts are only useable in the Dreaming City, it makes sense that they are only obtained in the Dreaming City.

Practically any activity you do in the Dreaming City has a chance to give you a Small Gift as a part of your reward. Public events, Ascendant challenges, Patrols, Lost Secots, and Blind Well activities all can reward you with a Small Gift.

However, you are only allowed to earn one Small Gift per character per week. So you can’t really farm them so to speak. If you are looking to quickly get your weekly Small Gift, you will want to run a couple of lost sectors or join in on a Blind Well or two.

These Small Gifts can be a good way to farm up the last few weapons you are missing once you already have all of the best weapons for Lightfall. But for most people, they are more of a hindrance than something they want to take time out of their grind to go do.

Destiny 2 Lightfall Brings Huge Exotic Changes to Leviathans Breath, One Thousand Voices, and More https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-lightfall-brings-huge-exotic-changes-to-leviathans-breath-one-thousand-voices-and-more/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-lightfall-brings-huge-exotic-changes-to-leviathans-breath-one-thousand-voices-and-more/#respond Wed, 01 Feb 2023 22:09:08 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=894207

Exotic weapons in Destiny 2 are supposed to be some of the most interesting weapons in the game. They are all supposed to have some sort of gimmick that makes them viable in one way or another. Throughout all the changes that Destiny 2 has gone through over the years, many exotic weapons have fallen through the cracks into obscurity. However, with the release of Lightfall, a lot of exotics will be getting changed. let’s go over all the Exotic changes coming with Destiny 2 Lightfall.

All Exotic Changes Coming With Destiny 2 Lightfall

When you have almost six years’ worth of weapons in a game, it is easy to let some of them fall to the wayside and not really be useable anymore. For the past few years, Linear Fusion Rifles have dominated the meta and put all other heavy weapons to shame. However, Exotics in Destiny 2 should always have a general niche the fulfill to be useable at any point with a specific build.

However, this issue is what Bungie is aiming to partially solve with Lightfall. While not every exotic that is currently not worth using is getting changes, a lot of bottom-tier exotics are getting worked on in some way or another. Here’s the full list of changes that are coming

The Queenbreaker

  • Shots will not chain to nearby enemies and the weapons will work properly with Arc 3.0 builds

Ruinous Effigy

  • The Transmutation Sphere slam attack will now suppress anyone hit

Leviathan’s Breath

  • Perfect Draw impact will apply volatile to enemies hit
  • Damage increased from 396 to 442, this will one-shot any super in PvP
  • Champion damage increased by 30%

One Thousand Voices

  • With Ember of Ashes equipped, hitting a full burst on a single target will trigger an ignition
  • Each explosion will apply 10 scorch per stack with an extra 5 if you have Ember of Ashes

Sunshot

  • Explosions on kill will apply 10 scorch stacks with an extra 5 with Ember of Ashes

Polaris Lance

  • Perfect Fifth short will apply 40 scorch stacks instead of the weapons custom burn
  • 20 extra scorch stacks will be applied with Ember of Ashes

Two-Tailed Fox

  • the solar rockets will apply 30 scorch stacks instead of a burn with an extra 30 scorch stacks from Ember of Ashes

Prometheus Lens

  • The catalyst now added the Incandescent perk to the weapon

Grand Overture

  • The catalyst for the weapon will cause the missiles to apply Arc blind instead of the weapon-specific blind to allow it to synergize more with Arc builds

The Manticore

  • The reticle for the weapon will now show the current stacks of Antigrav Repulsor

These are just the changes that Bungie has said they are making so far as there are still plenty of exotics that need to be worked on to be useable in the current meta of the game. While we are all waiting for the release of Lightfall, you can spend the time preparing for it by getting all you might need from the HELM.

Linear Fusion Rifles Will No Longer Be Meta After Huge Nerf Coming in Destiny 2 Lightfall https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/linear-fusion-rifles-will-no-longer-be-meta-after-huge-nerf-coming-in-destiny-2-lightfall/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/linear-fusion-rifles-will-no-longer-be-meta-after-huge-nerf-coming-in-destiny-2-lightfall/#respond Wed, 01 Feb 2023 20:58:44 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=894164

After showcasing four new exotic weapons coming in Destiny 2 Lightfall, Bungie has also posted an article about upcoming weapon tuning coming in Season 20. Some of these weapon balancing changes have been dreaded for a while now, including the nerf to Linear Fusion Rifles. With the nerf that will go live when Lightfall releases, Linear Fusion Rifles will not dominate the Destiny 2 meta.

What is the Linear Fusion Rifle Nerf in Destiny 2 Lightfall?

The major nerf that will happen to Linear Fusion Rifles when Lightfall begins is they will get a 15% damage reduction to Champions, minibosses, bosses, and vehicles.

This nerf to Linear Fusion Rifles applies to every Linear Fusion Rifle in the game except exotic ones. To make exotic Linear Fusion Rifles more competitive and desirable, they won’t be affected by this nerf.

Since Linear Fusion Rifles, like the Taipan-4FR, have been dominating the endgame PvE for so long, Bungie has decided to weaken them across the board to make other Heavy weapons more viable.

While this isn’t the most shocking news, this actually could be a good thing since it will require Destiny 2 players to search for the new meta-defining weapons for endgame PvE. Having a clear winner all the time with no variation gets a little stale, so this change is just one of many that Bungie is making to make Lightfall more exciting and accessible.

Though Linear Fusion Rifles are getting nerfed, Machine Guns are getting buffed which is great news for the new Deterministic Chaos exotic Machine Gun. There are other changes coming to other weapons as well when Lightfall begins, but this is one of the big ones you’ll want to prepare for.

Speaking of getting prepared, with the sneak peek of weapon tuning in Season 20 now available, you can check out what weapons you need to get from the H.E.L.M. before Lightfall begins.

How to Complete Iron Banner Challenges in Destiny 2 https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/how-to-complete-the-iron-banner-challenge-in-destiny-2/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/how-to-complete-the-iron-banner-challenge-in-destiny-2/#respond Wed, 01 Feb 2023 15:41:46 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=893988

Destiny 2 features challenges called Iron Banner that offer unique rewards and opportunities to raise your rank. But what exactly is an Iron Banner challenge? Well, the answer changes depending on the day, considering the challenge doesn’t remain the same, but they all have a similar premise. Here is everything we know about the Iron Banner challenge in Destiny 2 and how you can locate each for completion.

Where to Find and Complete Iron Banner Challenges in Destiny 2

Iron Banner challenges are an excellent opportunity to unlock pinnacle gear drops and an increase in Iron Banner rank, which also helps obtain new gear through Lord Saladin. If you are wondering where to locate these challenges, they can be found in the Crucible destination menu. Move your cursor over to the Iron Banner activity node, and your objective will be displayed on the screen, with your current progress as well, so you can check back periodically. You can also select the Iron Banner node to check out the rank boost multiplier associated with the challenges.

While these are listed as weekly challenges, they rotate throughout the week. Still, you can complete any of these challenges whenever you want throughout the week and still get the rewards available. For example, you can complete every challenge in one day; it is just important you get them all done before the week is over.

The Iron Banner Daily Challenges currently are as follows:

  • Complete three Iron Banner matches using a Void or Stasis subclass.
  • Complete four more Iron Banner matches using a Void or Stasis Subclass.
  • Complete five more Iron Banner matches using a Void or Stasis Subclass.
  • Complete six more Iron Banner matches using a Void or Stasis Subclass.

It looks like a total of 18 Iron Banner matches using a Void or Stasis is needed to complete every challenge this week. Once you complete each challenge, check back with Lord Saladin to collect your rewards.

Make sure to get these Iron Banner challenges taken care of as you wait for the release of Lightfall. This exciting expansion will include exotic weapons, new armor, and more!

What is The Ascendant Challenge This Week in Destiny 2? (January 31 – February 7) https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/what-is-the-ascendant-challenge-this-week-in-destiny-2/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/what-is-the-ascendant-challenge-this-week-in-destiny-2/#respond Tue, 31 Jan 2023 22:30:03 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=893769

The Ascendant Challenge is one of the many hidden secrets of the Dreaming City in Destiny 2. Under normal circumstances, you won’t be able to access these challenges at all. However, consume a Tincture of Queensfoil, and you will be able to spot the portal that will teleport you to the Ascendant Plane.

This Tincture of Queensfoil can be purchased from either Petra Venj in exchange for 50 Bayron Boughs, or you can acquire it by looting the various chests spread throughout this area. So what’ the challenge this week, and how do you complete it?

How to Complete The Ascendant Challenge This Week in Destiny 2

The Ascendant Challenge in Destiny 2 for this week is known as the Shattered Ruins Garrison Challenge and can be found near the Spine of Keres in the Divalian Mists area. This might be the easiest challenge or the toughest challenge and highly depends upon your movement skills. Since it’s a jumping puzzle, if you’re able to jump properly, then this should be cake walk. But if you’re a Hunter and you end up struggling with this challenge, you might want to get the St0mp-EE5 out of the vault!

shattered-ruins-outside-spine-of-keres

After you’ve reached the area shown in the image above, consume a Tincture of Queensfoil, and you will be able to spot the portal. Make your way through it and then complete the jumping puzzle till you reach the top of the area. There will be a small boss fight here. Defeat the boss and collect your loot which comprises of some Dreaming City gear.

If you manage to pick up the Ascendant Challenge-related weekly bounty from Petra Venj, you will be rewarded with an additional piece of gear when you turn this bounty in. These Ascendant Challenges rotate every week. There are a total of six such challenges of varying difficulty, so come back again next week to see what challenge is on the cards. Given that the Season of the Seraph is about to conclude, it’s time you start stocking up on Ascendant Shards and some weapons that will help you sail through the Destiny 2 Lightfall campaign.

Destiny 2 Grasp of Avarice Loot Table: All Weapons And Armor Drops https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-grasp-of-avarice-loot-table-all-weapons-and-armor-drops/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-grasp-of-avarice-loot-table-all-weapons-and-armor-drops/#respond Tue, 31 Jan 2023 22:09:54 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=893763

The Grasp of Avarice is one of the few dungeons in Destiny 2, with some really amazing loot. In order to access this dungeon, you will have to purchase the 30th Anniversary Pack.

Interestingly enough, you will have to complete the Grasp of Avarice dungeon if you want to get your hands on the Gjallarhorn Rocket Launcher. Not only that, you will have to defeat some specific enemies if you want to get the catalyst for this weapon as well. The only saving grace is that you’ll get the Gjallarhorn the very first time you complete this dungeon, so this is one of the few Exotics that isn’t locked behind the RNG system.

All Weapons And Armor Rewards in the Grasp of Avarice Dungeon in Destiny 2

This dungeon does not have too many weapon drops, to be honest. There are just four weapons that can be picked up by completing the different encounters in the Grasp of Avarice dungeon in Destiny 2. That said, here are all the weapons and armor pieces, along with the encounters from which they drop.

The loot table for this dungeon isn’t as elaborate as the other dungeons like Duality, or even Spire of the Watcher. However, the weapons that this dungeon has to offer are really good. In fact, the Eyeasluna is one of the best Hand Cannons that you will come across in Destiny 2. In the right hands, this weapon can easily dominate PvP games. When it comes to the armor pieces, just like the Prophecy Dungeon, some of the best armor pieces in the game can be picked up from this dungeon.

Although the mechanics might be a bit complicated, and traps are quite literally littered around the entire place, this is a fun little dungeon for you to try out with your fireteam. And if you’re feeling adventurous, you can always go in solo!

Apart from this, Bungie recently announced three new Exotic Weapons and Exotic Armor pieces that are scheduled to go live with Destiny 2 Lightfall on February 28.

“Tangles” And “Threadlings” Could Be the Statuses Related to Strand in Destiny 2 Lightfall https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/tangles-and-threadlings-could-be-the-statuses-related-to-strand-in-destiny-2-lightfall/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/tangles-and-threadlings-could-be-the-statuses-related-to-strand-in-destiny-2-lightfall/#respond Tue, 31 Jan 2023 20:38:43 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=893626

The recent weapons and armor trailer revealed two new possible statuses in the form of Tangles and Threadlings with respect to Strand. All set to go live in Destiny 2 Lightfall, there’s not much that we know about this new Darkness-based subclass.

Each subclass in the game has a few status effects that are unique to them. Void has weakened, suppressed, and volatile; Arc has jolt and blind, and so on and so forth. Although Bungie has barely mentioned anything about this subclass, Tangles and Threadlings do have a certain effect on the enemy which does lead us to believe that these are indeed subclass-specific statuses.

Tangles and Threadlings Could Turn Strand Into an Effective Crowd-Controlling Subclass in Destiny 2 Lightfall

Quicksilver-Storm-Catalyst

For starters, it’s currently unclear how these status effects can be triggered. As seen in the trailer, both these effects were Exotic dependent. But that shouldn’t be the case. There has to be some aspect r fragment related to this subclass that will allow you to trigger these status effects whenever you’re using the subclass.

Moreover, Strand is a word used with respect to threads or any sort of fiber. So going by that logic, Tangles and Threadlings would have to be related to it in some way. That said, Tangles are rather interesting. For now, the only known way to create them is by using the grenade on the Quicksilver Storm Exotic Auto Rifle. However, to create Strand Tangles, you will need its catalyst. How this catalyst can be unlocked is currently unclear, but with Lightfall only a few days away, this won’t remain much of a secret any longer.

Destiny-2-Lightfall-Warlock-Exotic

Strand Threadlings however, can only be created by destroying Tangles. The Warlock Exotic armor piece known as Swarmers helps you do this. Wearing this Exotic Armor piece, whenever you destroy Tangles, you will create Threadlings that go and attack nearby targets. In the trailer, it was seen that these Threadlings can destroy enemies, but that’s still a mystery for now. You’ll also be able to pick up the Tangles and throw them at enemies. The outcome of this is unknown as well. It will either deal damage to the target, or it will slow them and stun them. We’ll update this piece when we know more about these statuses.

For now, here’s a checklist that will help you prepare for the upcoming expansion. And while you’re working on that checklist, don’t forget to farm these weapons before Destiny 2 Lightfall!

Quicksilver Storm to Get a Catalyst in Destiny 2 Lightfall https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/quicksilver-storm-to-get-a-catalyst-in-destiny-2-lightfall/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/quicksilver-storm-to-get-a-catalyst-in-destiny-2-lightfall/#respond Tue, 31 Jan 2023 18:15:38 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=893491

The Quicksilver Storm Exotic Auto Rifle went live in Destiny 2 sometime over the course of the Witch Queen expansion itself. However, to pick up this weapon, you will have to pre-order the Lightfall expansion.

All this while, the weapon didn’t have a catalyst. However, as spotted in the recent weapons trailer, this Auto Rifle will be receiving a new catalyst once the expansion goes live. So how do you acquire this catalyst? And what does it do?

How to Get the Quicksilver Storm Catalyst in Destiny 2 Lightfall?

It’s really hard to say how you will come across the catalyst for the Quicksilver Storm once the expansion goes live. However, just like many other Exotic weapons, Banshee-44 might be the one who offers you the quest related to this catalyst. On the off chance that he doesn’t do the same, a new vendor on Neomuna might offer you the quest related to this catalyst.

Quicksilver-Storm-Catalyst

I personally feel that the new Neomuna vendor will be the one to give the Guardian the catalyst quest because the lore entry to this weapon talks about the Pouka, a creature related to the Cloudstriders on Neomuna. Up until now, almost every single Exotic Catalyst quest has involved the PvP mode in some capacity. So there’s a high chance that you will have to head over to the Crucible and defeat some Guardians to complete the catalyst mission. Alternatively, there’s also a chance that you might not have to head into the PvP activities either. But this bit is completely speculative for now. We’ll update this piece once we have more information about it.

What Does This Catalyst Do?

As noticed in the trailer, this catalyst seems to work only when the grenade launcher mode is activated. To get this mode, you will have to first land multiple hits on a target to convert your next rounds into homing micro-rockets. Once you’ve landed a few micro-rocket hits, you’ll be able to load a grenade into your weapon which can be deployed by using the alternative fire button.

Now, when this grenade detonates, it creates something known as a tangle. For now, this might be the only thing that the Quicksilver Storm catalyst does in Destiny 2. The true extent of its capabilities will be revealed once Lightfall goes live.

Apart from Quicksilver Storm, there are three new Exotic weapons and armor pieces that are set to go live in the new expansion. Destiny 2 Lightfall will release on February 28.

Destiny 2 is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

All Resonance Amp Locations in Destiny 2 https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/all-resonance-amp-locations-in-destiny-2/ Tue, 31 Jan 2023 17:06:21 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=883638

In Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph, Resonance Amps are a new feature that will get you closer to getting that IKELOS SMG God Roll fast. Finding Resonance Amps are the best way to unlock and grind toward the IKELOS Seraph weapons because you’ll always get an IKELOS weapon when you find and activate one.

Because it isn’t introduced at all, using or even knowing about the Enhanced Resonance Amp can be difficult. Here is how to use the Enhanced Resonance Amp and where all the Resonance Amp locations are in Destiny 2.

How to Use the Enhanced Resonance Amp in Destiny 2

As you begin the Season of the Seraph quest called More Than a Weapon, you’ll receive the Enhanced Resonance Amp. To use the Enhanced Resonance Amp, you need to open your inventory. Once there, hover over the Enhanced Resonance Amp and interact with it to consume four Resonate Stems. Resonate Stems are awarded by completing Heist Battlegrounds.

Once you consume four Resonate Stems, you’ll get a message in the Enhanced Resonance Amp that looks like this: “[CONNECTION ESTABLISHED] CB.SRVY/RUN” followed by a number and four directional instructions. These four words are instructions to help you find a Resonance Amp’s specific location. The Enhanced Resonance Amp can only have one location slotted at a time. To get another one, you have to find the location that is currently slotted.

All Resonance Amp Locations in Destiny 2

Now that you know how to use the Enhanced Resonance Amp, you’ll need to know where to find all the Resonance Amps. You’ll get assigned a random Resonance Amp location each time you use the Enhanced Resonance Amp.

Some quick tips when trying to find a Resonance Amp. First, you’ll want to try to listen for old 1950s-sounding music. Also, when you get close to the Resonance Amp, the center of your screen will get white and expand as you get closer.

Here are the locations for all of the Resonance Amps in Destiny 2:

All Upcoming Exotic Weapons in Destiny 2 Lightfall https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/all-upcoming-exotic-weapons-in-destiny-2-lightfall/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/all-upcoming-exotic-weapons-in-destiny-2-lightfall/#respond Tue, 31 Jan 2023 16:17:05 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=893420

As revealed in the brand new trailer, Destiny 2 Lightfall will come with three new Exotic weapons. While we don’t really the process to unlock these new Exotics, one will be locked behind the Season Pass for sure.

As seen in the trailer, one Exotic has an intrinsic perk which works well with Strand. The remaining two weapons come with intrinsic perks that have Champion stunning abilities. With that, here are all the Exotic weapons that will go live in Destiny 2 Lightfall.

Guardians Set to Receive Three New Exotic Weapons in Destiny 2 Lightfall

While you might argue that the Quicksilver Storm is also an Exotic which is tied to Lightfall, if you’ve preordered the expansion already, you will have access to the weapon right now. Although it does have some interaction with Strand, the weapon is already in the game, so it isn’t a new Exotic by any means.

Apart from this Auto Rifle, the new Exotics are as follows:

  • Final Warning – Sidearm
  • Deterministic Chaos – Machine Gun
  • Winterbite – Machine Gun

Final Warning

Final-Warning

The Final Warning is a Sidearm with the Strand element type. It fires charged tracking rounds. Given that it has the ability to track targets, it might be extremely handy in PvP. It will be interesting to see how the weapon works once it goes live. Most importantly, this sidearm will probably occupy the Kinetic slot as well, alongside the other Kinetic and Stasis weapons. Moreover, there’s a high chance that it might interact with some Strand verb as well.

Deterministic Chaos

Destiny-2-Exotic-Void-Machine-Gun

The Deterministic Chaos is a Machine Gun with the Void element type. This is probably the only Exotic in Destiny 2 to be able to apply different debuffs to the enemy, interacting with two different Void verbs. The fourth shot weakens enemies, while the 16th shot makes the enemies volatile! Given that Volatile rounds can be used to pierce Barrier Champions, this weapon might come in handy in such situations.

Winterbite

Winterbite

Finally, the Winterbite is an Exotic Glaive that has the capacity to freeze enemies with a frost orb. Theoretically, you will be able to stun both Unstoppable Champions and Overload Champions with just this weapon. However, the theory is one thing, and experiencing it firsthand is something else altogether. These Exotic weapons will be put to the test once Destiny 2 Lightfall goes live.

How to Get These Exotic Weapons in Destiny 2 Lightfall?

For now, the method behind obtaining these Exotic weapons is unclear. However, if we were to look at the Beyond Light and the Witch Queen expansions, one of these weapons will be locked behind the Season Pass, while the remaining two will have individual quests associated with them. Given that the Sidearm belongs to the Strand element type, there’s a high chance that this weapon will be a part of the Season Pass itself. However, this is all speculation for now. Destiny 2 Lightfall goes live on February 28, so while you’re waiting for it, here’s a checklist that will help you prepare for the upcoming expansion. Before the current season winds up, here are some weapons that you need to farm for as well.

New Lightfall Exotic Void Machine Gun Can Weaken Enemies and Make Them Volatile https://attackofthefanboy.com/news/new-lightfall-exotic-void-machine-gun-can-weaken-enemies-and-make-them-volatile/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/news/new-lightfall-exotic-void-machine-gun-can-weaken-enemies-and-make-them-volatile/#respond Tue, 31 Jan 2023 15:52:33 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=893423

While there were three other exotic weapons shown in the new Destiny 2 Lightfall weapons and gear trailer, arguably the most exciting one is the new exotic Void Machine Gun that can weaken enemies and make them volatile. These two status effects are some of the strongest in the game and currently define the meta. Here is what the new exotic Void Machine Gun is in Destiny 2.

What is Deterministic Chaos in Destiny 2 Lightfall?

The new exotic Void Machine Gun coming in Destiny 2 Lightfall is called Deterministic Chaos and it really packs a punch. As stated previously, Deterministic Chaos weakens enemies but it does it every fourth shot. On every sixteenth shot, enemies become volatile.

The Deterministic Chaos is a rhythm-based weapon, much like the new Hi-Fi Rush game, which means you’ll need to just hold down the trigger when using it to get the buffs. You’ll need to plan when the fourth shot will happen and you can count on a volatile shot on the fourth four shot, if that makes sense.

While the new exotic Glaive and Sidearm are really cool, the weapon that everybody will want to have is the Deterministic Chaos. The reason why it will be such a hot commodity is because weaken is one of the best status effects in the game for Raid and Dungeon bosses and volatile rounds are really good, especially if you are rocking a killer Void build.

How to Get Deterministic Chaos in Destiny 2 Lightfall

Since the exotic Void Machine Gun was just announced, we don’t know how to unlock it yet. We won’t know how to get Deterministic Chaos until Lightfall comes out.

While we wait patiently for Lightfall to fall into our laps, be sure to check out the three unique exotic armors that Hunters, Titans, and Warlocks will get in Lightfall.

3 New Exotic Armors for Titan, Hunter, and Warlock Shown in the New Destiny 2 Lightfall Trailer https://attackofthefanboy.com/news/3-new-exotic-armors-for-titan-hunter-and-warlock-shown-in-the-new-destiny-2-lightfall-trailer/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/news/3-new-exotic-armors-for-titan-hunter-and-warlock-shown-in-the-new-destiny-2-lightfall-trailer/#respond Tue, 31 Jan 2023 15:26:51 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=893412

In the latest Destiny 2 Lightfall trailer, we got a new look at three new exotic armors for Hunters, Titans, and Warlocks. Exotic armor is class specific in Destiny 2 which means that these new exotics will be unique and enable players to build fun new builds. Here are the three exotic armors we saw in the Destiny 2 Lightfall trailer.

Destiny 2 Lightfall Hunter Exotic Armor – Cyrtarachne’s Facade

Destiny-2-Lightfall-Hunter-Exotic

The Hunter’s exotic armor is a helmet called Cyrtarachne’s Facade. This amazing exotic helmet applies a woven Strand overshield after you use your grapple ability, which is new with Strand. The woven overshield will grant flinch resistance which is great for sniping.

This can be used to create strong melee builds as it will give Hunters the extra buffer they need to get in close with their knives. Of course, it’s also great for those who want to snipe.

Destiny 2 Lightfall Warlock Exotic Armor – Swarmers

Destiny-2-Lightfall-Warlock-Exotic

The exotic armor for the Warlocks is leg armor called Swarmers. This exotic, like the rest, utilizes Strand. What it does is when Strand Tangles are destroyed, Threadlings are created, which are like Ionic Traces but for exploding enemies.

We imagine that creating Tangles will be part of the Warlock’s Strand kit or mods which means that the Swarmers exotic armor will be great for clearing adds.

Destiny 2 Titan Exotic Armor – Abeyant Leap

Destiny-2-Lightfall-Titan-Exotic

Abeyant Leap is the leg exotic armor for Titans. What this exotic does is shoot out three straight lines after placing a barricade. The lines will lash any enemy it hits which means they will be strung up by Strand.

This exotic can be used to create powerful defense builds. We aren’t sure how it will work in PvP yet, but we know for sure that it is powerful in PvE.

Not only does the new exotic armor look great, but it will also boost the effects of Strand. We can’t wait to learn how to get these new exotics when Lightfall finally comes out. We’ll be with you every step of the way, Guardian.

Essential HELM Farming Prep for Destiny 2: Lightfall https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/essential-helm-farming-prep-for-destiny-2-lightfall/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/essential-helm-farming-prep-for-destiny-2-lightfall/#respond Tue, 31 Jan 2023 06:41:43 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=893382

The HELM (Hub for Emergency Logistics and Maneuvers) in Destiny 2 is an interesting new place. Most of the seasonal vendors for the Witch Queen expansion can be found in this area.

These vendors offer standard weapon and armor-focusing options that are unique to their season itself. However, not all vendors are equally helpful when it comes to these armor and weapon drops. With Lightfall soon approaching, here are some of the items that you need to farm from these vendors at the HELM in Destiny 2.

These are the Items you Need to Farm at the HELM in Destiny 2

As of now, there are four specific vendors at the HELM. They are as follows:

  • War Table – Season of the Risen vendor
  • Crown of Sorrow – Season of the Haunted vendor
  • Star Chart – Season of Plunder vendor
  • Exo Frame – Season of the Seraph vendor

Since the Exo Frame is the most recent vendor to join this area, we won’t be focusing on it that much, because you’re already farming most of the weapons that this vendor has to offer. When it comes to the others, here’s what you need to farm.

High-Stat Armor

War-Table

Ever since its inception in the Season of the Risen, the War Table has always dropped high-stat armor. So if you’ve stocked up on Risen Umbral Energy, head over to the War Table and focus your Umbral Engrams on Season of the Risen armor pieces. If you have an armor-focusing mod equipped on your Ghost, you will be able to focus points into the stats that you are looking for.

World Weapon drops

Star-Chart

Yes, you can get world weapon drops from Banshee as well, but the overall process is very slow. To speed up the process, make your way to the Star Chart and focus your Umbral Engrams on the different foundries available on the very first page itself. This way you can focus your engrams on very specific foundries. For example, if you focus on an engram for the Veist foundry weapons, you’ll receive one of the many weapons crafted by that foundry, including the Taipan-4FR and the Funnelweb. To do this, however, you will need Plundered Umbral Energy.

Crafting Materials

Barring the Crown of Sorrow, all three vendors allow you to focus an Umbral Engram onto a Machine Gun with Deepsight Resonance. So pick up these red border Machine Guns and then defeat enemies with it. Since it’s a heavy weapon, you won’t have to defeat too many enemies to complete the Deepsight Resonance extraction on this. With each successful extraction, you can get around 300 Resonant Elements, a currency essential to crafting.

Apart from these, here are some weapons that you need to farm before the new expansion drops. Moreover, this checklist will help you prepare for Destiny 2 Lightfall as well!

Best Weapons to Farm for Before Destiny 2 Lightfall https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/best-weapons-to-farm-for-before-destiny-2-lightfall/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/best-weapons-to-farm-for-before-destiny-2-lightfall/#respond Tue, 31 Jan 2023 03:30:09 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=893184

With a new expansion on the cards, it’s absolutely mandatory to farm some weapons before Destiny 2 Lightfall goes live. Keeping in mind how difficult the legendary version of the Witch Queen campaign was, the Lightfall campaign mission shouldn’t be any different.

In Lightfall, the champion mods will be leaving the game, and you will be able to use subclass-specific buffs and debuffs to stun them. With that said, here are some of the weapons that you need to craft before the expansion goes live.

All Weapons you Need to Farm Before Destiny 2 Lightfall

1) Riptide

Riptide

As noticed in one of the recent TWABs, Riptide is theoretically one of the best weapons to farm for before Destiny 2 Lightfall goes live. This weapon drops from Crucible activities, so ideally, you will want to look for a Riptide with the Chill Clip roll. To put it into perspective, different subclass-based buffs will allow you to stun different champions once the new expansion goes live. The Riptide Fusion Rifle can be used to stun almost all three champions. Theoretically, it’s a very strong weapon, but how it actually performs, remains to be seen once the new expansion goes live.

2) Tarnished Mettle

Tarnished-Mettle

The only good thing that came out of the Season of Plunder was the Tarnished Mettle Scout Rifle. It’s an amazing weapon that can even outdo Tears of Contrition, provided you have the necessary rolls on it. First of all, the main roll that you’re looking for here is “Voltshot”, and to complement that roll, you need “Demolitionist”. Both these rolls synergize together, and if you manage to have a high grenade energy uptime, the Demolitionist roll will make sure that you have Voltshot on all the time. Just don’t forget to throw those grenades or else nothing will proc.

3) Fire and Forget

Fire-and-Forget

Linear Fusion Rifles have been immensely powerful throughout the Witch Queen expansion. While nothing can be said for sure, they just might retain their efficiency in the Lightfall expansion as well. The Fire and Forget is a unique weapon because it behaves almost like a Fusion Rifle, firing in three-round bursts. The rolls you might want to consider are “Field Prep”, “Frenzy”, “Demolitionist” and “Vorpal Weapon”. Out of the four rolls mentioned above, the “Field Prep” and “Demolitionist” rolls work well together, because the current DPS meta revolves around using two Grenade Launchers and a grenade charge. Given that the Demolitionist perk reloads the weapons from their reserves whenever a grenade is used, this is a nice alternative to Auto-Loading Holsters, provided you can manage a steady flow of grenade energy.

4) Retrofit Escapade

Retrofit-Escapade

If you wish to get your hands on a weapon that can melt bosses in a matter of a few minutes, the Retrofit Escapade is the only one that fits the bill. Introduced during the Season of the Seraph itself, this weapon quickly turned out to be a nice DPS alternative and will continue to be so as we move forward into Lightfall. The perks that you’re looking for are “Fourth Time’s The Charm” and “Target Lock”. The former will return a round to your magazine whenever you land multiple precision hits on an enemy. The latter on the other hand will increase the total damage output as long as you remain on one target. Paired with the Radiant buff, you have a boss-destroyer on your hands.

5) IKELOS_SMG_V1.0.3

IKELOS_SMG_V1.0.3

The IKELOS weapons have been quite popular ever since their inception. They’ve been reworked and released for the third time in Season of the Seraph, and now support a brand-new perk pool. Keeping that in mind, the IKELOS_SMG_V1.0.3 is probably one of the best SMGs in the game right now. Primarily because of the fact that it comes with a roll known as “Seraph Rounds”. Not only that, you will also be able to craft the “Voltshot” roll on this. This SMG has a high fire rate anyway, and if you manage to pair it up with Voltshot, you’ll be clearing ads in no time.

These are the weapons that will come in handy once Destiny 2 Lightfall goes live. Here’s a checklist that will help you with preparing for the upcoming expansion. Also, don’t forget to farm those Ascendant Shards while you have the chance to do so.

Destiny 2 More Than a Weapon Week 1 Quest Guide: How to Farm Seraph Key Codes https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-more-than-a-weapon-week-1-quest-guide-how-to-farm-seraph-key-codes/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-more-than-a-weapon-week-1-quest-guide-how-to-farm-seraph-key-codes/#respond Mon, 30 Jan 2023 19:57:20 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=879579

Destiny 2 Season 19, aka Season of the Seraph, is here and the main story quest that you get is called More Than a Weapon. This is the multi-step mission this season and it requires you to get Seraph Key Codes. To start the More Than a Weapon quest, you need to play the Heist Battleground activity on the Moon and follow the rest of the quest prompts after. Here is how to get Seraph Key Codes quickly and complete the More Than a Weapon Week 1 quest in Destiny 2.

Destiny 2 More Than a Mission Week 1 Steps 1-9

As soon as you boot up Destiny 2, you’ll launch into a Season of the Seraph quest. After completing that quest, visit Exo Frame at H.E.L.M. and collect the Artifact and a red border Disparity. Then, you need to play the Heist Battleground: Moon activity and collect 500 Seraph Key Codes.

Once you’ve collected 500 Seraph Key Codes (which you can learn how to do by scrolling down), a new Heist Battlegrounds playlist will appear at the H.E.L.M. Play that version from here on out. Unlock the Seraph Chest at the end of the activity with your 500 Seraph Key Codes.

With that done, you need to complete the Operation: Archimedes activity which is found on the H.E.L.M. map. Once the activity is complete, speak with Ana Bray at the Holoprojector in the H.E.L.M., speak with Clovis at the Exo Frame, and listen to the message on the radio.

If you’ve gotten this far, you’ll be on step nine of the More Than a Weapon quest and need to wait for the next weekly reset to get more steps to the quest. If you are completing this quest late, then you are able to move on to the next week’s quest steps. It’s generally more of the same: complete an activity, talk to people, acquire Seraph Key Codes, and open Seraph Chests. You can also try to complete The Hidde Shape quest as well to get an exotic.

How to Quickly Get Seraph Key Codes

The hardest part about the More Than a Weapon Week 1 quest is farming Seraph Key Codes. Acquiring as many Seraph Key Codes as fast as possible is central to Season of the Seraph as accessing the loot from the Seraph Chest at the end of Heist Battleground activities will offer the best loot.

To get Seraph Key Codes quickly, all you need to do is play activities. There is no special secret to obtaining more Seraph Key Codes — simply play the Heist Battlegrounds activity, Crucible matches to try and get a God Roll Rose, Gambit matches, or Vanguard raids. By doing any of these activities, you’ll earn Seraph Key Codes. You always need 500 Seraph Key Codes to unlock the Seraph Chest, so keep that in mind.

And that is how to complete the More Than a Mission Week 1 quest and how to get Seraph Key Codes quickly in Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph. While farming Seraph Key Codes, you’ll likely want one of the best mods the Season of the Seraph Artifact has to offer.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S|X.

How to Farm Ascendant Shards Quickly Before Destiny 2 Lightfall https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/how-to-farm-ascendant-shards-quickly-before-destiny-2-lightfall/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/how-to-farm-ascendant-shards-quickly-before-destiny-2-lightfall/#respond Mon, 30 Jan 2023 19:09:48 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=893202

In Destiny 2, Ascendant Shards are important materials. Without this item, you cannot masterwork any piece of armor. While it’s not very important to masterwork your armor, if you don’t do so, you won’t be able to get the optimum amount of mods on your armor pieces. Not only that, masterworking a piece of armor provides a minor stat boost as well, so you wouldn’t want to miss out on that either.

With Lightfall arriving in less than a month, it’s always wise to head into the new campaign with a fully masterworked armor setup. Moreover, the developers are reworking the armor and the combat mods too, so it’s really important that you head into the new campaign with at least one set of masterworked armor. But you can’t do so if you don’t have Ascendant Shards, so how do you get your hands on this item?

Where to Farm Ascendant Shards in Destiny 2?

Achieve Rank 16 in Playlists, Rinse and Repeat

There are a few ways in which you can get your hands on these Ascendant Shards in Destiny 2 before Lightfall goes live. One of the easiest methods is to make your way up to Rank 16 with the playlist vendors at the Tower. Commander Zavala, Lord Shaxx, Drifter, and Saint-14 will reward you with one Ascendant Shard when you hit reputation rank 16 with them. You can reset your rank and then make your way up to rank 16 once again to get your hands on another Ascendant Shard.

You can do this as many times as you want, but the grind can be slightly tedious.

Visit Master Rahool

Alternatively, you can also purchase Ascendant Shards from Master Rahool, the Cryptarch at the Tower. One Ascendant Shard costs 10 Enhancement Prisms, so if you manage to get your hands on a good number of these prisms, you won’t run out of Ascendant Shards. However, given that Enhancement Prisms are also required when masterworking armor pieces, this isn’t a very fruitful way to go about it.

Complete Grandmaster Nightfalls

The final method is to run Grandmaster Nightfalls. Apart from the Adept version of the Nightfall weapon in rotation, you will also receive one Ascendant Shard for every successful Grandmaster Nightfall completion. If you do this when double Nightfall rewards are active, you will receive two shards for every successful completion. You can also get these shards by leveling up your Season Pass, but the number is very limited. Not only that, you can do this once per season per account, so it isn’t exactly a farmable alternative.

Do keep in mind that you will be able to store only 10 Ascendant Shards in your inventory and another 10 with your Postmaster for each character, which brings the total number of shards up to 40. And if you’re heading into Lightfall with 40 of these shards, you needn’t have to worry about masterworking any new piece of high-stat armor that you might be able to get your hands on in Lightfall!

If you’re done farming for these Ascendant Shards in Destiny 2, here’s a checklist of everything you need to do in order to prepare for the upcoming expansion.
